About this role: 

Responsible for managing the Rhythm Management team of Medical Affairs Managers in order to strategically align Medical Affairs resources and initiatives in support of Franchise Priorities in order to enhance our educational initiatives, advance the appropriate application of BSC therapies, expand the clinical data and key opinion leader influence in support of our products and therapies, and increase local impact by executing prioritized local/regional educational activities.


Your responsibilties will include:

  • Determine team structure that best meets business needs. Identify and develop clear job functions/responsibilities and effectively communicate expectations to team members. Manage performance to expectations.
  • Allocate and manage resources appropriately. Manage budgets. Define and implement team processes to ensure executional excellence.
  • Initiate, build, and maintain internal & external relationship at all levels to achieve divisional, department, and initiative goals. Participate and collaborate across the industry and within BSC to ensure executional excellence.
  • Identify and develop needed metrics and reporting to evaluate team output and program impact. Identify areas of improvement and new opportunities to meet organizational goals. Implement solutions and make recommendations to management to improve performance and impact.
  • Ensure physician activities and programs are compliantly conducted in accordance with Boston Scientific policies.
  • Provide coaching and development to staff.  Identify growth opportunities and assist subordinates in attaining career goals. Motivate individuals to achieve results.
  • Lead and directly manage strategic projects for team.
  • Take on direct ownership for projects, initiatives or tasks as needed to support business bandwidth needs.


What we're looking for in you: 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical device experience
  • 5+ years of cardiovascular experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Ability to read/interpret clinical evidence/scientific articles and translate to RM products/therapies
  • Ability to build strong relationships external to company, particularly industry key opinion leaders (e.g. physicians, APPs, etc)
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Resource management experience (e.g. budget)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct Rhythm Management experience
  • People management experience
  • Medical Affairs - based function experience (Scicom, MedEd, MedAffairs, Training, etc)
