About this role:
Work under limited supervision to assist R&D Packaging engineers, scientists, and/or teams in packaging development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Responsible for the coordination and creation of packaging components, technical documentation, and facilitating packaging development and testing activities. This level position requires a high degree of independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute assigned tasks for project deliverables.
- Responsible for creation of new, and changes to, miscellaneous packaging components based on pre-existing formats and design.
- Responsible for review and Change Notice activities for the approval and release of labeling, Instructions for Use, and other packaging components.
- Develop solutions and contribute to initial packaging design, testing, and process concepts.
- Construct prototype packaging and/or detailed test methods from concepts.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute testing of packaging designs with minimal engineering guidance.
- Develop new test methods and/or make revisions to existing test methods.
- Coordinate procuring and qualification of new or modified packaging components and test equipment.
- Prepare reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
- Use developed networks in assisting engineering teams in obtaining necessary materials, services, and test data.
- Work with internal resources and external vendors regarding packaging component design and development.
- Train/Coach peers on the technical aspects of their job including interpreting and rationalizing results (i.e. statistics, DOE).
Required qualifications:
- 6 years of related experience with an Associated degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are necessary in order to act as a
- liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, and other functional team members
- Work as a team player
- Good technical aptitude
- Background working in a technical, laboratory, or Quality role
- BS degree preferred
