Post Market Trending Manager - Neuromodulation

 

About the role:

The Post Market Trending Manager - Neuromodulation will define and execute the vision for Neuromodulation Post Market Quality data analytics and product performance monitoring strategy. They will lead a team of quality engineers and data analysts to achieve data analytics objectives and drive product performance monitoring excellence across multiple product/functional teams, data systems, and business processes. This is a hybrid role; applicants will be able to work up to 2 days a week from their home office.

 

There are immediate opportunities for success to automate data analytics, improve data accessibility, and drive business process efficiencies. They will develop partnerships with Design Assurance, Global Post Market Quality Assurance, Complaint Investigation Sites, Complaint Management Center, Complaint Trending teams, and multiple manufacturing sites to identify and prioritize future opportunities. They will be responsible for providing directions to individuals who perform data analysis, manage metrics, monitor product performance, and develop tools and dashboards to support Medical Device Post Market Complaint Handling and Complaint Investigation objectives.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Manage and coach a team of Data Analysts and Quality Engineers to achieve team metrics, department objectives, and organizational goals
  • Lead your team through setting a clear strategy to define and achieve Medical Device Post Market Complaint Handling and Complaint Investigation objectives
  • Provide guidance and training to staff, assist them in attaining career goals, motivate individuals to achieve results, and recruit and maintain a high-quality staff
  • Analyze and provide complaint data reports for Quarterly Management Review (QMR), CER, PSUR, Regulatory Additional Information requests, among others.
  • Responsible for reviewing data analysis to detect emerging trends of such issues that may require action and escalation to Senior Leadership.
  • Manage post market data analytics tools & dashboards using software tools such as SAS, SQL, Snowflake, and PowerBI.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects in support of continuous improvement or complaint reduction initiatives
  • Influence Sr. Management on potential improvements or enhancements to the quality system and processes.
  • Works alongside cross-functional and cross divisional teams to participate and implement complaint reduction / data trending projects
  • Maintain and enhance cross-functional team relationships within the divisions, plants, and distribution centers across the entire BSC network.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all internal and external audits for data reporting and trending processes
  • Coach sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Develop future leaders through partnerships and mentoring.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, ISO, MDR regulations).

 

What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the medical device industry, specifically in quality or post-market product performance
  • Working knowledge of data analytics tools (not necessarily advanced programming, but ability to extract and interpret data)
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving using data
  • Experience engaging and influencing leaders or stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SAS, Snowflake)
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams in a data or quality environment
  • Demonstrated ability to improve business processes or data accessibility
  • Experience with developing dashboards and data visualization tools
  • Background in leading cross-functional projects related to product quality or performance
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex process improvement or data development projects

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
