About the role:

BSC’s people analytics function, Talent Analytics & Insights is seeking a client-centric analytics professional. Seated within the Global Talent Management Function, this role will be focused on delivering data-driven insights which enable Boston Scientific leaders to proactively plan their talent needs, evaluate the effectiveness of their workforce attraction, development and engagement initiatives, identify past and future trends and make informed human capital decisions which will drive the ongoing success of the business.


Primarily acting as consultant and organizational researcher, this role will provide clients with analytics expertise across areas such as strategic workforce planning, attracting and retaining talent, diversity & inclusion, employee engagement, high potential talent identification & development, employee development.


As a data-driven organization, this role will have high visibility with HR business partners and leaders.  We are looking for a collaborative client-focused, strategic thinker willing to dive into the details to produce quality research.  This person will be a key partner in forming and evaluating talent strategies.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Be a talent analytics expert, fluent in the language of data and quickly able to translate a client question to a research question answerable with data
  • Deeply understand clients’ analytical needs, acting as voice-of-customer to enterprise solutions and dashboards
  • Play a key advisory role to senior HR and Business leaders by synthesizing talent data, communicating results clearly and recommending courses of action based on the insights
  • Conduct custom studies, diving deeper into data as needs arise
  • Provide SME expertise consulting in the design and management of qualitative and quantitative data collection and capture
  • Ensure that BSC is not just focused on internal data and insights.  Identify and utilize relevant data and benchmarks from external sources which can be used in conjunction with internal data.
  • Enable BSC to understand the latest human capital trends in the wider environment and to make informed assessments of where potential enhancement opportunities exist.

What we’re looking for:


  • Bachelor’s degree; MA/MBA in a HR Human Resources, IO Psychology, Data Science or similar or analytically-related field
  • 4+ years of experience of delivering value in People Analytics roles, acting as a consultant and advisor to senior HR professionals and business leaders
  • Experience with posing of talent questions and answering with data, study design and statistical proficiency 
  • Experienced in data storytelling-- Adept at creating the “story” which weaves together data into a compelling message 
  • Proven ability to communicate complex data and insights in a succinct and compelling way to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in coaching and influencing HR leaders using data and analytics

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with R
  • Experience with Data Visualization Tools; specifically, Tableau
  • Prediction and scenario modelling experience 
  • Previous experience in workforce and talent planning as well as survey methodology and design at the business unit or enterprise level
