About this role: 

As the Principal Business Consultant, you will support the Cardiology Group, serving as a strategic resource to lead or facilitate cross functional Value Improvement projects and driving the development of a sustainable Value Improvement culture. In this role, you will work with the Cardiology businesses to drive improvement in key processes and systems, while also identifying and supporting productivity opportunities across the Cardiology functions.  

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Partner with leaders to develop Value Improvement strategy, goals, and plans in order to achieve gross margin and operating income goals. 
  • Build a strong pipeline of Value Improvement projects to achieve gross margin and operating income goals. 
  • Collaborate with leaders and their organization/function to inspire a continuous improvement culture by deploying process improvement/operational excellence roadmaps, methods, and tools across the business. 
  • Influence key stakeholders to engage and participate in improvement activities essential to process and system improvement. 
  • Partner with leaders, champions, and employees to share best practices to further accelerate the rate of improvement. 
  • Lead priority cross functional process and system improvement projects. 

  

What we’re looking for in you: 

  • Proven results applying process improvement in the business and transactional environment 
  • Adept to think outside the box and comfort with dealing with ambiguity  
  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to performance improvement 
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial/consultant mindset 
  • Ability to build enthusiasm for change 
  • Demonstrated project management and change management skills 
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement related experience 
  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering/Business or related field, Advanced degree preferred 
  • Certifications in Six Sigma and Project Management preferred 
  • Domestic and international travel of about 10%
