About the Role:
This Principal Global Product Manager is a new role borne from Boston Scientific’s evolving needs associated with rapid growth in the Electrophysiology Solutions (EPS) division. This role is part of the Clinical Marketing and Strategic Partnerships organization and is focused on competitive intelligence and strategic collaboration with physicians and other healthcare decision makers.
In this position, you will be a highly independent team member responsible for developing direct relationships with electrophysiology end users, their institutions, and key members of the care team. You will be responsible for identifying, communicating, and gaining buy-in on new opportunities that support and advance the strategic priorities of the division, providing input and direction to the commercial organization to inform key goals and objectives. You will combine your technical and clinical knowledge, along with emotional and strategic intellect (EQ & IQ), to ensure we stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) market. You will leverage customer insights and industry expertise to advance the value proposition of Boston Scientific’s PFA portfolio, build trust and enthusiasm around our evolving vision, and drive excellence in customer relationship management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Customer Insight: Cultivate 1:1 relationships with key end users to enable credible, consistent, and appropriate levels of engagement on clinical evidence, positioning and/or implications of forthcoming product development and other commercial objectives. Spend significant time in the field engaging with electrophysiologists, lab staff, and key opinion leaders to capture deep clinical and strategic insights, as well as to identify opportunities for collaboration and to uncover challenges or constraints in the care of patients with atrial fibrillation. Translate physician feedback and market dynamics into actionable business strategies and provide timely feedback to inform product roadmaps.
- Innovative Advancement: Provide design input to Information Technology and lead change management activities around the implementation of a customer engagement platform to be used by all functions for a seamless and integrated customer experience. Drive adoption of the tool across all cross-functional groups to create a hub of engagements, curated insights, and Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback.
- Collaboration : Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders, and internal partners. Lead standardized collection and distribution of VOC activities to gather feedback from healthcare professionals and stakeholders. Advocate for customer needs in all aspects of franchise functions. Work closely with internal leadership and stakeholders to align engagement strategies with organizational goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Develop professional partnership strategies, collaborating with physicians, company leadership, and cross-functional teams to enhance customer relationships and support strategic business objectives within a rapidly growing team and fast-moving technology space.
- Clinical & Market Development: Partner closely with physicians to design, support, and communicate compelling clinical evidence that advances adoption and establishes market leadership. Develop programs and tools that demonstrate Boston Scientific’s differentiated value in PFA and electrophysiology.
- Business Acumen: Responsible for collating and distributing key product and clinical competitive intelligence. May be required to synthesize and communicate performance metrics for past and ongoing strategic initiatives to inform future initiatives.
- Adaptability: Maintain a comprehensive, dynamic, and ongoing understanding of the disease state, competitive landscape, and market dynamics of the electrophysiology space
- Using data analytics, market research, 1:1 meetings, and industry contacts, identify new, existing, or future physicians with whom to engage to deepen physician engagement and advocacy of the EPS portfolio.
Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum 7+ years work experience in a cardiology customer-facing role

Customer-first mentality: Outstanding customer service skills, both internal and external to the organization

Prior role(s) in sales, marketing, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Management, or Medical Education, with higher value placed on aggregation of these functions

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and the sales team – gathering insights to inform engagement strategies

Must accommodate flexible hours commensurate with global scope for occasional virtual engagements/meetings, ie central European time zone or Asia Pacific

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with meticulous attention to detail

Effective project/resource management skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Must be able to travel in a given month: Up to 60% domestic and up to 20% international
Preferred qualifications:

Strong personal relationships with existing Electrophysiologist KOLs and/or strategic end users

Track record of successful change management

Experience with KOL management initial introduction of multiple new products to physician customers

Interpersonal flexibility and amicability to integrate quickly with full spectrum of laboratory-based personnel, including physicians, administrators and nursing staff

Proximity to international hub airport

Experience in OUS medical device markets

Existing knowledge of Electrophysiology and/or PFA procedures

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local Arden Hills, MN or Waltham, MA office at least three days per week.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
