About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Principal Software Solutions Architect to join our Electrical Process Development team. Work with innovative medical devices that sustain and improve the lives of patients around the world. Join a dynamic team shaping the strategy for software solutions that support data analysis, data management, and data migration. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to identify and architect solutions for engineering and production data used to improve the quality of medical devices.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a fully-onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five (5) days per week.

Your responsibilities include:
- Lead strategy for software solutions for data analytics
- Collaborate on software development, testing, verification, and validation
- Develop and maintain the software test automation framework and tools
- Design test scenarios following design and requirement documents to ensure intended behavior is verified
- Partner with software developers, system engineers, design assurance, project management, and others to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner
- Execute projects using industry best practices and following quality system procedures and regulations
- Continuously improve process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes
- Guide support personnel and project activities
- Mentor early-career engineers in software development activities/methodologies and domain knowledge
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or closely related field
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience relevant to this role, or minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
- Experience with software development, verification, and validation
- Experience in Java, Python, C#, and/or C
- Good working knowledge of enterprise databases and cloud computing principles
- Proven technical leadership
- Effective communicator and writer
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience with medical devices or other regulated industry
- Experience with containerized applications and microservices
- Working knowledge of classic DevOps concepts
- Experience with Windows Operating System
- Experience in using Jira or other development tools
