About the role:
The Boston Scientific Healthcare Solutions Team partners with our customers to advance their clinical programs by uncovering operational and market opportunities and developing plans aimed to maximize clinical program performance. The Principal Healthcare Solutions Consultant will be responsible for leading customer engagements to identify programmatic improvement and growth opportunities. This individual will be highly independent and experienced in collaborating with consulting team members, sales colleagues, and support of health care providers and health care administrators. The successful candidate will have deep experience in health system strategy and operations, and in leading initiatives to improve outcomes, efficiency, and financial performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead consultative engagements for health system cardiovascular customers to identify strategic and operational opportunities
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally, to ensure the project proceeds according to the plan and ensuring that engagement results meet the expectations of the Customer and Boston Scientific.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Healthcare Solutions Team to define, plan and execute implementation of projects.
- Manage project delivery at multiple customer locations, aligning with internal resources and external partners as needed.
- Work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues within team and with contacts across divisions, functions and geographies; is an active ambassador of Healthcare Solutions and Cross-Divisional approach
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 10 years experience within the Healthcare industry (complex project mgmt/consulting experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively within a highly matrixed organization.
- Applies comprehensive industry knowledge and analytical skills to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
- Strong communicator internally and externally, builds networks, and partners with peers.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Clear thinker, strong problem-solving skills, comfortable in challenging existing practices and the status quo.
- Rigorous, strong execution mind-set, structured and organized
- Change oriented, able to operate in an area of uncertainty and with changing/limited resources.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite), including high level of competency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel 40% within US
Preferred qualifications:
- An advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH or MHA
- Clinical and/or management experience with electrophysiology and/or interventional cardiology services and associated medical devices.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels in an organization.
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Management or enterprise change management
- Clinical management in the cardiovascular space
- Consulting project delivery and/or sales

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
