About the role:
 

At Boston Scientific, the Process Engineer II position is part of the Arden Hills Process Development team.  This position’s primary role under semi-supervisory direction, assists in the development of capable processes and ensures efficient and effective transfer of product into design level milestone build and production. The Process Engineer II role is focused on the diverse, highly dynamic, and rapid growing Electrophysiology (EP) franchise/division.  This role will be based at BSC in Arden Hills, MN, USA for the first 1-2 months and then relocated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada for 6-12 months, with the expectation that this role will return to Arden Hills after that project is complete.

 

Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Assess process capabilities and innovate and implement process improvements for discrete, well-defined processes
  • Write clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product builders
  • Own/contribute to technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental results
  • Complete proper documentation to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.)
  • Write validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes
  • Gather and report on technical data for technical reviews
  • Oversee development builds associated with the project using special work requests
  • Assist in developing qualified production lines
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package
  • Contribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissions
  • Train manufacturing personnel, when required, as part of an early proto line and validation
  • Assess proto line performance and make improvement gains focusing on capacity

 

Required qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline 
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Ability to relocate outside of United States for 6-12 months

 

Preferred qualifications:
 

  • Experience working with multiple engineering companies from customer or provider standpoint
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Troubleshooting in combination with product yield and performance
  • Ability to schedule out timelines with specific milestones to achieve and demonstrated success
