Process Engineering Manager I

 

About the role:

  • Tactical manager that will lead multiple product and process development projects to commercialization at our Minnetonka and Arden Hills facilities. 
  • Will lead a team of technical resources in the development of innovative process solutions that enable new products. 
  • Through leadership, will deliver consistent, controlled and cost-effective processes to an operational setting that enables world class manufacturing. 

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality, diverse staff.
  • Manages execution of the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
  • Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple department projects.
  • Oversees selection of technologies and processes that meet business goals.
  • Works cross-functionally to standardize, leverage and implement engineering tools and establish best-demonstrated practices.
  • Serves as a technical resource and provides on-going feedback and coaching to direct reports and project teams.
  • Creates an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.
  • Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Establishes department metrics and objectives and monitors progress as appropriate.

 

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Engineering with 5+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally at all levels

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device or heavily regulated industry experience
  • Master's degree in Technical or Management
  • Demonstrated competency in leading teams in the development of complex technical solutions from concept to commercialization
  • 5+ years’ experience with 3+ years people or project management experience
  • Track record of successfully delivering innovative product and business process solutions
  • Experience with developing medium and long-term strategic objectives for a business unit and guiding subordinates in tactical execution
