About the role:
The Product Manager II, LUX-Dx Downstream Marketing will be responsible for supporting the commercial success of the LUX-Dx Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) product, part of the Cardiac Diagnostics Solutions portfolio within the Cardiac Rhythm Management and Diagnostics Division. They will drive work that supports our commercialized products to include identifying customer messaging, field communications, and develop commercial strategies in the ICM and diagnostics market.
The role will require development of customer and field facing strategies, market research to understand market trends and customer insights, clinical evidence strategy, and support of continuation marketing activities. To gain deep clinical and technical product knowledge the Product Manager II will be expected to spend time with customers and sales team regularly. This person will also work closely with cross-functional partners across the organization and should have the ability to lead and work with a diverse range of partners and on multiple parallel projects.
The LUX-Dx Downstream Product Manager II position will be based in Arden Hills, MN. This is a hybrid role with expectations of being on-site at least 3 days per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- This Product Manager II is responsible for supporting and driving key marketing and business objectives for the LUX-Dx portfolio
- Uses classic marketing capabilities to further business objectives, such as market understanding, market segmentation, customer targeting, product positioning and message development
- This includes supporting the execution of product launch plans and driving continuation marketing activities for in-market products
- Develops and supports innovative downstream marketing solutions, programs and tools to create value and support the needs of the Sales Team
- Develops promotional plans that support product line strategy
- Analyzes franchise sales trends and performs customer segmentation to drive strategic and tactical decision making – synthesizes into dashboards
- Works with cross-functional partners to ensure the clinical and technical understanding are appropriately incorporated into commercial strategy
- Develops and defining tools/processes for tracking performance of existing investments against plan
- Executes strategies to maximize the profitability of product lines by collaborating with assigned staff, conducting market research and performing financial analyses
- Supports execution of comprehensive competitive response plans
- Spends time in the field to gain market and clinical insights, as well as build relationships with key physicians
- Additional responsibilities include involvement in developing and implementing marketing initiatives and partnerships on clinical education and engagement programs
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Economics or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of medical device experience or adjacent relevant experience
- Analytical skills and ability to develop business plan
- Experience with determining customer needs within medical device markets
- Knowledge of business development activities and strategic partner management and awareness of commercial cardiac diagnostic monitoring service types.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (potentially including internationally)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree including Masters of Business Administration
- Experience with software and/or hardware product management
- Experience in Cardiac Rhythm Management (clinical, marketing, etc)
- Downstream experience (i.e. launch, product management, sales engagement)
- Experience with regulatory approval processes for medical device systems, including electronics and software.
- Proven ability to collaborate with commercial and finance teams to define and implement effective business models
- Clear understanding of protected health information security requirements, such as HIPAA.
- Familiarity with the structure of business units and key business initiatives
- Proven excellence in organizational, coordination, and negotiation skills
Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office in Arden Hills, Minnesota at least three days per week.
