About the role:
Boston Scientific in Arden Hills, MN is looking for a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) to join their team. The core hours of this shift are: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (variable by 30 minutes for start/end times). The Production Supervisor will lead a diverse team of direct labor employees in safely producing high quality medical devices and equipment for the customer – directly impacting patients’ lives around the world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills as you lead, coach, and mentor the production and support team personnel creating a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. In addition to daily execution of line performance with project leadership and change management, you will ensure your team meets safety, quality, service and cost goals.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Work as part of a core team concept comprised of Production Supervisor, Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. While Quality Engineer and Manufacturing as not direct reports of the Production Supervisor, the production supervisor should be guiding the triad direction.
- Drive Innovation and change by communicating on key business initiatives and promoting employee engagement and specifically act as a lean deployment leader.
- Supervise, lead and coach a group of product builders, technicians, and production trainers.
- Production floor focus including performance management, new hire on-boarding and cross-training.
- Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with Quality function as necessary.
- Lead & create team engagement around continuous improvement goals for safety, quality, service, cost and space through the utilization of lean and operational excellence tools and best practices
- Develop and achieve production plans, proactively identify, and resolve issues.
- Develop and communicate departmental goals to achieve effective core 5 metric performance and administer the Employee Incentive Program.
- Investigate root cause(s) of non-conformances (i.e. NCMR, audit, etc.), identify and execute corrective actions by expected completion date(s).
- Work closely with cross-functional groups to develop continuous improvement plans (i.e. engineering, calibration, materials management, equipment engineering and quality) to achieve plant and departmental objectives.
- Provide leadership and consistently adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure integrity of data systems (i.e. Kronos, SAP, LMS, TRS, PDM, etc.).
- Will supervise or coach direct labor operators and technicians. Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and manufacturing personnel.
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years’ of relatable experience
- 1+ year of supervisor/management experience
- Ability to work 2nd shift hours
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated Lean tools/systems experience
- Continuous Improvement experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Medical Device or regulatory environment experience
- Prior Production Supervisor experience
- Prior people leadership experience

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
