About the Role:

Boston Scientific in Arden Hills, MN is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. The core hours of this shift are 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday through Friday. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of direct labor employees in safely producing high-quality medical devices and equipment for customers—directly impacting patients’ lives around the world.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills as you lead, coach, and support production team personnel while helping build a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. In addition to daily execution of line performance, you will ensure your team meets safety, quality, service, and cost goals.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners to support production needs, improve processes, and ensure smooth execution of the production plan.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Produce high-quality products safely, on time for the customer, and at the lowest cost
  • Support achievement of safety, quality, service, and cost goals for assigned production area
  • Identify customer requirements and help ensure the right products are delivered at the right time
  • Be responsive and flexible to changing customer and production demands
  • Support achievement of product cost and efficiency goals
  • Assist with new product introduction and readiness activities for the production line
  • Manufacture products in compliance with Boston Scientific policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote safety, quality, and compliance while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Foster teamwork and support a culture of Operational Excellence across the production team
  • Ensure effective communication between production team members and cross-functional support teams
  • Manage, motivate, and develop product builders through coaching and on-the-job support
  • Reinforce company values through daily behaviors and recognition of team performance
  • Support production planning tools to ensure resources such as staffing, equipment, and materials are available
  • Ensure effective training of product builders and support cross-training where needed
  • Follow leader standard work and escalate issues appropriately when standards are not met
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, service, and cost
  • Partner with materials management to support build planning and material flow
  • Provide input into production planning and short-term capacity needs
  • Help anticipate near-term production requirements and support resource alignment to meet demand

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering-related fields; OR a High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exposure to Lean tools or continuous improvement concepts

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Supervisory or informal leadership experience (team lead, shift lead, or similar)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or regulated environment
  • Exposure to medical device or highly regulated industry (preferred but not required)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work across teams
  • Ability to be flexible, responsive, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a strong willingness to develop leadership capability

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
