About the role: 
The Cardiac Diagnostics services team in Arden Hills is looking for a First Shift Production Supervisor to join our team. In this role you will lead a diverse team of product builders and material handers in safely producing high quality medical devices that directly impact patient’s lives. You will have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills as you lead, coach, and mentor a production and warehousing team while supporting a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. In addition to daily execution of line performance, you will ensure your team meets safety, quality, service, and cost goals. Core hours of this position are first shift: 6am-2pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise daily medical device kitting operations ensuring your team safely produces high-quality products on time for the customer at our cost targets.
  • Lead a team of material handlers responsible for receiving and distributing raw materials at both an offsite and onsite warehouse.  Ensure the Production team has the right product in the right place at the right time to support a high-volume kitting operation.
  • Identify customer requirements to enable your team to deliver the right products at the right time.
  • Facilitate and partner with a cross-functional manufacturing core team of Production, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to achieve annual safety, quality, service and cost goals while maintaining an engaging & high-performance culture.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop Product Builders through coaching and performance management.
  • Embed our company’s values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors.
  • Utilize production area planning tools to ensure team has the resources to meet future volumes, including direct labor staffing, space, and equipment capacity.
  • Ensure training is effective & efficient and maintain training versatility across entire team.
  • Benchmark and share best practices.
  • Provide appropriate input into the long-term planning of the production area.
  • Support new product development readiness activities for the line team.

 

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • 5+ years’ manufacturing experience 
  • 1 year of supervisor/management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Experience applying Lean tools/ developing systems and leading Continuous Improvement efforts  
  • Able to support and lead a production team working 1st shift hours 6am-2pm 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in a regulated environment or the medical device industry

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
