About the role: 

  • This role will lead the transition of Rhythm Management product portfolio from MDD/AIMD to the new EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR)
  • Align with key stakeholders on submission priority
  • Resolve portfolio conflicts (e.g., priority, resource, …)
  • Work with Corporate workstream leads to understand requirements and provide guidance to project teams
  • Strong knowledge of design control process and procedures is required for this role
  • Success in the role requires ability to lead a cross-functional team to define and/or refine processes, creating a cohesive strategy for project execution, and driving execution to ensure project completion 
  • Multiple projects will be running simultaneously with cross-functional team members from R&D, DA, Post Market, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations, and PMO
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships are required for this role

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Leading project teams to successfully deliver MDR submission and implementation
  • Overseeing multiple EU MDR submissions that are project managed by multiple PMs
  • Identify and prioritize resource needs for assigned projects and activities with supporting cross-functions
  • Performing budget planning including forecasts, AOP, and Strat Plan and work with functional leadership to set scope, resources, and $
  • Running/chairing various steering and operational meetings such as Steering and Governance Committee meetings, CTL/TL, and EU MDR CT
  • Identify, communicate, and manage technical challenges and business risks.
  • Investigate and develop approach/solution to address various problems (e.g., process, Regulatory, technical, …) with project teams
  • Drive and influence results by acting with speed, agility, and adaptability, assigning clear authority and accountability while integrating and aligning efforts across multiple sites and functions
  • Provide structured thinking to project team on overall execution strategy and approach.
  • Lead the team in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications
  • Provide timely communication on project progress to all relevant cross-functional stakeholders, and across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Mentoring and/or coaching direct reports, other functional team members, and project managers
  • Resolving conflicts with team members and providing input to functional managers on team and team member performance
  • Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives


What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of work experience in product development OR
  • Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business and 5+ years of work experience in product development
  • Familiarity with the EU Medical Device Regulation
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading cross functional teams and managing project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence, situational leadership, and ability to manage by influence
  • Results-oriented, positive attitude focused on delivering timely, accurate and best in class execution
  • Comfortable communicating to and presenting in front of all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • PMP® certification is a plus
  • Technical or engineering background is preferred
