About the role:

The Quality Analytics Engineer II will support Quality Engineering and Manufacturing organization through advanced data analysis, reporting, automation, and business systems insights. This role focuses on enabling data-driven decision-making by integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and delivering scalable analytics solutions.

 

Work Mode:

This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, MN office 5 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end analytics solutions, including data extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries across enterprise databases
  • Analyze and integrate data from SAP, MES and related manufacturing systems
  • Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Partner with Process/Quality Engineering, Management teams, and IT to define data requirements and reporting needs
  • Analyze quality trends, operational KPIs, and process performance
  • Support automation and analytics enablement using Python, Power Automate, and scripting tools
  • Assist in defining data standards, metrics definitions, and documentation
  • Support ad-hoc and recurring analytics requests from Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
  • Displays problem solving/communication skills

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MES)
  • Solid understanding of databases, data structures, data modeling, ETL concepts, and analytics best practices
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, functions, data manipulation, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality KPIs (defect trends, yield, throughput, cycle time, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
  • Experience with automation tools like Microsoft Power Automate, and platforms such as Microsoft Forms and Sharepoint
  • Problem Solving Certification (Green Belt, CQE, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple, cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to gather and document requirements, model processes, and translate business requirements into effective analytics solutions

Minimum Salary: $ 71,500

Maximum Salary: $ 135,800

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
