About This Role:
This Quality Engineer III will provide on-site support for Capital Equipment production operations at the Arden Hills site.  An individual stepping into this role will help support continuous improvement projects as well as quality initiatives. He/she/they will partner with a broader team to accomplish day-to-day floor support, proactive problem solving, nonconformance dispositions, and NCEP/CAPA work.  In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, this Quality Engineer will work cross-functionally with their manufacturing engineering and production counterparts to ensure delivery of the highest quality result to the customer.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading in the implementation of assurances, process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Collaboration with technicians and manufacturing engineers in assisting in identification of manufacturing process defects, identification of primary root causes, understanding corrective and preventative actions, and dispositioning non-conforming material. 
  • Using risk analysis tools to identify, prioritize, disposition, and resolve product quality issues. 
  • Leading process improvement efforts by identifying methods to capture quality metric data and by performing appropriate analysis methods to enhance sustaining product design and new product development.
  • Working with Project Management and Divisional teams to support new product launch activities
  • Becoming a Process Owner to provide product-specific line support
  • Proactively investigating, identifying, and implementing best-in-class Quality Engineering practices.
  • Providing support and mentorship to fellow engineers and quality technicians 

 

What we're looking for in you

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science related field
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience

 
Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a regulated medical device industry, preferably in Operations Quality
  • Familiarity of new product development and/or launch activities 
  • EUMDR knowledge and/or prior implementation 
  • Experience with NCEP/CAPA process and system
  • Technical mentorship experience or desire to be a technical mentor
