About the role:
The Quality Engineer III will provide Process/Quality Engineering support to manufacturing, helping to ensure delivery of highest quality product to the customer. Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to product development teams, helping to ensure development of highest quality new products.

Key responsibilities:

- Identifies and resolves complex exceptions to work assignments.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and protocols
- Participates in Customer Complaints investigation for areas under their control.
- Deals with suppliers, other engineering disciplines within and outside of the Site and customers should the need arise.
- Reduces and controls Manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by leading efforts focused on identifying the primary root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Perform troubleshooting on new and existing products/process problems as related to design, material, or processes
- Collects and analyzes process defect data for product/process improvement efforts (e.g. scrap, nonconforming product, customer complaints) by systematically gathering quality metric data and performing the appropriate analysis method(s) to enhance sustaining product design.
- Influences cross-functional plans, guides overall project strategy, knows when to solicit feedback, and facilitate project decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align design, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
- Provide task direction, coaching, and mentorship for technician team members.
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement by advancing improvements to existing processes and controls.
- Evaluates in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect to eliminate or lessen such impacts/effects.
- May participate directly in a new product/technology transfer to ensure compliance to all internal and regulatory requirements.
- Uses knowledge of Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of basic Quality Systems and good documentation practices
- Experience in medical device or highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong engineering fundamentals and track record of sound technical judgment
- Demonstrated ability to execute and follow through on project responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Self-driven, with a creative approach to solving complex engineering problems.
- Team-oriented mindset that thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Good organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
