The Quality Supervisor leads a team of quality technicians supporting the Capital Equipment & Externals Business Unit. This role oversees day-to-day quality operations, ensures products are manufactured in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and drives continuous improvement across manufacturing and quality systems. The Quality Supervisor partners closely with manufacturing, engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, improve processes and develop a high-performing team.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
This is an on-site role requiring employees to work from our local Boston Scientific facility. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Lead, coach and develop a team of quality technicians by providing training, performance feedback and career development opportunities.
● Support staffing activities, including interviewing, hiring and onboarding new employees.
● Monitor daily work activities, establish priorities and allocate resources to achieve quality and operational objectives.
● Conduct performance evaluations and address employee performance issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
● Partner with manufacturing, engineering and cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions and drive continuous improvement.
● Provide quality support for manufacturing by assigning work to address process defects and implement process improvements using Quality System tools.
● Support new product development, product transfers and sustaining engineering activities by coordinating quality deliverables with project teams.
● Ensure compliance with Boston Scientific Quality System requirements and applicable regulatory standards, including FDA and ISO requirements.
● Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures while fostering a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
● Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, processes and tools to improve operational effectiveness.
● Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, provide updates and ensure alignment on quality objectives.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree.
● Minimum of 4 years' experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, manufacturing or a related field within a regulated industry.
Preferred qualifications:
● Medical device industry experience.
● Experience with CAPA, nonconforming material, root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
● Experience communicating and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders.
