About this role:
Provide Quality Technician support to Arden Hills commercial and development manufacturing lines ensuring delivery of the highest quality product to the customer while supporting continuous improvement projects and quality initiatives.  This is a dynamic support role requiring cross-functional collaboration with production, manufacturing, and quality team members.  This role includes responsibility for providing day-to-day quality support for manufacturing, including the processing of non-conforming product (identification, documentation, segregation evaluation and disposition), troubleshooting and investigating product as well as responding to quality signals.  The position requires creative thinking and investigation skills to resolve problems that arise on a production line.  

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform project and product testing on complex products and components (PCBAs)
  • Assist engineers in failure analysis
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with quality issues and quality metrics related activities.
  • Document non-conforming events and quarantine impacted material
  • Perform testing, gather data, and analyze results of product testing and process monitoring
  • Assist engineers in developing or changing manufacturing instructions
  • Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change Requests
  • Assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials, designs and/or systems
  • Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all activities in the Device Master Record (DMR) have been performed and approved
  • Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities
  • Use the inventory and traceability management systems to transact and research material
  • Communicate with a wide variety of BSC personnel in and outside of the plant

 

Required qualifications

  • AA degree or higher in Electrical Engineering field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
     

Preferred qualifications

  • 1-3 years in the medical device field in a quality role
  • Able to work independently under limited supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities
