About the role:

This position serves to oversee the Preclinical Equipment Program (including 500+ pieces of equipment) that is utilized in the Preclinical RTC Lab.  This includes project management of GLP validation activities as well as Calibration, PM and maintenance of equipment, facilitating with internal and external resources.  Additionally this role will support the preclinical quality team administrative and quality control activities.  This role will support the Quality function complying with GLP 21 CFR Part 58 and USDA regulations.  This includes tracking of audits and responses, review of documents and archival of records. Other duties as assigned to support the quality function.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Equipment Program or other Quality Project oversight including planning, tracking, facilitation, scheduling and execution of actions. 
  • Identifies resolves and prevents issues by determining root cause and implementing corrective and preventive action.
  • Reviews and dispositions non-conforming events by utilizing quality tools and by developing knowledge of preclinical quality processes and procedures.  Identifies and resolves systemic issues based on trends noted during review of non-conforming events.
  • Develops and implements process improvements by researching and identifying appropriate changes in processes to improve quality.
  • Supports quality tasks and processes including tracking ongoing audit activities, results, responses and retention of records.
  • Provides input to validation studies and reports by collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing and recording data, and by writing procedures. May keep lab notebook.


What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • 7 years with high school degree/equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
  • Experience working under quality system regulations
  • Skills with Microsoft Programs including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Project Management experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Equipment Validation, Calibration and Preventive Maintenance experience
  • Experience with GLP regulations 21 CFR Part 58
  • Experience with USDA Regulations
  • Skills in Microsoft Programs including Access, Project and Visio.
