About the role:
Boston Scientific Rhythm Management is seeking out an accomplished strategic marketing automation professional to effectively advance BSC’s data-driven marketing capabilities on the SalesForce Marketing Cloud platform.
Who You Are: A self-motivated and engaged team player with demonstrated experience translating business marketing goals and strategies into customer-centric, actionable marketing technology solutions in Salesforce.  You bring an innovative mindset to your work, along with the strong ability to nimbly adapt to changing business conditions/plans while simultaneously continuing to be proactive and drive projects to completion. You have strong organizational influencing skills, including the ability to educate cross-functional stakeholder teams on the value of marketing automation and other technology-focused capabilities that support business unit marketing objectives.
The Opportunity: This individual will develop and implement innovative marketing automation campaign  strategies and support key data integrations like Customer Data Platform (CDP, aligned to overarching business and franchise objectives across RM, in collaboration with Digital Marketing Managers, Campaign Managers, Content Strategists, Product Marketing, Sales Leaders, Sales Operations, Corporate Marketing Automation and other stakeholders. She/he will be responsible for execution of these strategies in close partnership with IT, securing and managing development resources who will create digital marketing capabilities within SalesForce and other technologies in BSC’s MarTech stack. 

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develops the RM SFDC Marketing Cloud and CDP business requirements & roadmap in collaboration with direct leadership, ensuring integration into the full marketing technology ecosystem
  • Partners with the Global Marketing Automation Strategy team to identify next generation RM Marketing Cloud capabilities including customer data platform (CDP) technology.
  • Serves as BSC RM’s thought leader and in-house consultant for the Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Leads consultative engagements with stakeholders including assessment of new functionality requests and informing leadership of strategic resourcing implications
  • Owns the full project lifecycle of Sales Cloud Marketing Cloud and CDP implementations for the RM business in an agile environment
  • Defines, documents and directs the development of RM Marketing Cloud data architecture, governance and management processes (operational, workflow).
  • Collaborates with campaign product managers to activate advanced customer segmentation strategies and manages the database from a business perspective to ensure strong data integrity and clean data
  • Is the subject matter expert and owner of the business’ marketing data dictionary
  • Performs data validation testing and periodic audit for system and data quality
  • Creates and presents education and training on new marketing capabilities in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Manages (with IT) marketing automation technology vendor partners.
  • Uses an expert knowledge of current Salesforce applications and product lines, including the knowledge needed to implement multiple applications in common customer scenarios
  • Delivers strategic recommendations on novel approaches, dependencies, level of effort / scoping, and timing that are clearly articulated to all audiences
  • Partners with Product Owners, Digital Marketing Strategists and Digital Producers to plan, execute, and report on campaigns utilizing Salesforce and other adjacent technologies
  • Uses deep knowledge in connecting data between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud to enable campaigns
  • Drives execution of advanced email, multi-channel journeys and lead generation and partners closely with marketing analytics team to measure performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Supports the creation of a ‘closed loop marketing’ system enabling marketing investment attribution to incremental revenue impact.
  • Activates 3rd party tools and technologies that enhance RM marketing automation capabilities (e.g. SFDC Ad Studio, Attribution technology etc.).
  • Directs priorities and deliverables of the RM Marketing Cloud IT development team.
  • Anticipates and mitigates risk, meets and manages customer expectations, increases customer confidence, manages solution delivery and any issues that arise, and prioritizes and escalates appropriately
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior business analyst for Salesforce implementations as a consultant or internal product owner
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Expert knowledge of utilizing the Salesforce platform for advanced marketing campaigns
  • Experience building and managing lead generation campaigns is preferred
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud experience is preferred
  • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Developer, or similar credentials preferred
  • Solid understanding of data management and database concepts
  • Strong business case/user story development and implementation experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well within a matrix organization and to influence teams to accomplish common goals and objectives; effective relationship building skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Thoughtful, strategic and without fear of recommending innovative approaches
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with demonstrated success at working under deadlines with tight timeframes
