About the role:
The Sales Operations Manager is a strategic, data-driven leader responsible for enabling commercial performance through sales planning, analytics, reporting, and operational execution. This highly visible role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial Operations to ensure sales resources, targets, insights, and processes are aligned with business strategy and team priorities.
Operating in a complex medical device environment, the Sales Operations Manager balances territory and quota inputs, sales analytics, business intelligence, and people leadership to drive salesforce productivity, informed decision-making, and sustainable revenue growth.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
Sales planning, territory & quota support
● Oversee sales compensation design, quota methodology, modeling, and administration in partnership with Sales and Finance.
● Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of sales territories.
● Analyze geographic, customer, and market data to inform territory alignment.
● Monitor sales performance against quotas and identify trends.
● Support adjustments based on performance and business changes.
Sales analytics, business intelligence & reporting
● Work with the data analysts to develop and maintain sales analytics, dashboards, and reporting.
● Translate stakeholder needs into scalable BI solutions.
● Leverage advanced analytics, automation, and emerging AI-enabled tools to enhance reporting and insights.
● Partner with Sales and Marketing to define and track KPIs for sales effectiveness.
Strategic insights & decision support
● Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales Leadership by translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.
● Prepare executive-level presentations and narratives.
● Support annual and quarterly planning cycles.
● Identify trends and growth opportunities.
Cross-functional collaboration & execution
● Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Commercial Ops.
● Lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.
● Support rollout of tools, reporting, and technologies.
● Ensure data accuracy and governance.
People leadership & culture
● Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
● Provide direction, prioritization, and resource planning across the team to support evolving business needs.
● Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, professional growth, innovation, and business ownership.
● Lead change management efforts related to new processes, AI, and operating models to ensure adoption and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
● Minimum of 7 years' experience in sales operations, commercial analytics, or related functions.
● Proven history of designing territories and managing quota setting in a complex or matrixed organization.
● Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Anaplan.
● Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams.
● Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to executive stakeholders.
● Demonstrated people leadership experience.
● Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred qualifications:
● Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
● Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Alteryx, SAP, SQL, and advanced analytics tools.
● Master’s degree in business, analytics, or a related field.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
