About the role:
The Sales Training Manager (P5) will lead the strategic direction and execution of training programs that support the Corporate Accounts (CA) organization, encompassing consultative sales professionals and cross-functional teams such as Pricing & Contracting, Marketing, Strategy, and Sales Operations. In this high-visibility role, you will design and implement impactful learning experiences that enhance sales effectiveness, drive business alignment, and build team capability across Boston Scientific’s enterprise-level customer-facing teams.

You will serve as a key liaison among divisional and corporate training groups, business unit leadership, and various stakeholders to ensure all programs are aligned with company objectives and deliver measurable results. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership position with significant influence over the learning culture and commercial readiness of the CA organization.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:
● Develop and implement the learning strategy and vision for Corporate Accounts training curriculum, including onboarding, skill development, and advanced leadership programs

● Provide strategic and people leadership to a high-performing team

● Partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, develop, and deliver meaningful, relevant, and results-driven training programs

● Oversee onboarding, ongoing development, and capability building for Corporate Accounts personnel, in partnership with people managers

● Stay current on healthcare trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic planning for future learning needs and initiatives

● Influence and communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization, including executive leadership

● Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with Divisional Sales Training, Marketing, and Strategy & Sales Ops teams to drive alignment and outcomes

● Define and measure KPIs to assess training effectiveness and ROI; continuously improve programs based on performance data and feedback

● Lead the strategic approach and deployment of learning management systems (LMS) and online delivery tools

● Serve as a core member of the planning team for key national and regional sales meetings, including content development and facilitation

● Collaborate on cross-functional strategic initiatives in partnership with Marketing, Sales Operations, and other departments

● Manage external training vendors and oversee contractual and relationship effectiveness

● Assist in annual training budget development and resource allocation in collaboration with the Senior Manager, L&D and Director of Strategy & Sales Operations

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field

● Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, sales training, clinical education, and/or marketing within a corporate or healthcare environment

● Demonstrated expertise in training strategy, content development, and/or classroom facilitation

● Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively across teams and functions

● Strong project management skills with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiatives

● Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including executive-level presentation capabilities

● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred qualifications:
● Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry

● Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles

● Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital learning tools, including Salesforce.com

● Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and consultative selling techniques

● Prior experience in quota-carrying sales or sales leadership roles

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
