About the role: 

 

As an SAP Business Process Lead (BPL) you’ll be responsible for SAP Support, SAP project work, and driving operational excellence across SAP systems for Materials Management processes, including Purchasing, Planning, and Material Handling & Warehouse, in Manufacturing Sites across the North American region.  This role ensures alignment between business needs and SAP capabilities, supports system optimization, leads cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and data integrity, and fosters partnerships with functional stakeholders & enterprise IT teams.

 

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in one of the listed local offices (Arden Hills, MN; Maple Grove, MN; Spencer, IN; Dorado, Puerto Rico) at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Site & Regional Support:
    • Drive operational integrity by resolving SAP master data discrepancies, diagnosing transactional complexities, and managing access provisioning within SAP systems
    • Define and execute SAP testing as needed; SAP User Accepance Testing (UAT) for site-specific enhancements; SAP Regression testing for site impacting enhancements
    • Execute year-end cutover activities
    • Foster a community of BPLs to share best practices and drive innovative process improvements
  • Priority Projects:
    • Participate in core team projects requiring SAP system data and SAP technical understanding; collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver results (i.e. new plant or lane implementations)
    • Support site-related SAP S4/HANA implementation activities
    • Contribute to a Continuous Improvement culture by engaging in Lean Business Process objectives using DMAIC/LBP methodologies
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as a liaison between functional teams and IT, translating business requirements into SAP solutions
    • Facilitate communication across departments
    • Support a work environment of continuous improvement in line with Boston Scientific's Quality Policy, Quality System, and relevant regulations

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, Materials/Supply Chain planning, or Business Systems (or similar)
  • Proficiency in SAP modules such as MRP, IM, WM, Purchasing, Quality Management, and Master Data
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels
  • Highly adaptable, flexible, and open to new ideas, processes, and procedures
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a high level of accuracy in all tasks
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% to Boston Scientific manufacturing sites and conferences, with a flexible schedule to accommodate multiple time zones

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Familiarity with MES, PLM, and Kinaxis Rapid Response
  • APICS certification
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
