About the Role:


The Arden Hills distribution team is a collaborative team made up of product builders, material handlers, and lean specialists. The team is responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse and partners closely with global supply chain and planning groups. Boston Scientific is looking for a Sr Distribution Supervisor who is responsible for the daily supervision of material and distribution activities. These activities include, but are not limited in, leading and coaching warehouse associates, supporting development and communication of department goals, and providing insight into department budgeting.


Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Driving departments to meet metrics while maintaining compliance with all regulations and procedures. 
  • Providing day-to-day direction concerning work assignments, overtime requirements and priorities.
  • Leading monthly employee meetings, managing attendance and performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Leading the development of the team through rewards & recognition, training/development, and hiring.
  • Managing warehouse operations through various performance measurements which may include turnaround time, error rates, stock turns, inventory variance, A/B/C analysis, slow-moving inventory items, non-moving inventory items, shortages, and cycle counting.
  • Providing short-range planning concerning staffing requirements, OT requirements, schedules, budget, and space requirements.
  • Providing long-range planning concerning staffing, budget, equipment requirements, methods improvements, capital equipment, and technology improvements (bar coding, scanning/automaton, retrieval systems, etc.). 


What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-4 years of Distribution or Logistics experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 2+ years of management experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong Leadership and Communication skills
  • 1-2 years of experience with Lean tools, principles and Root cause analysis/problem solving
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Available to work Monday-Friday with core business hours of 10:30am-6:30pm. There is some flexibility with this shift.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP (or similar systems) as the majority of the work we do is in SAP
  • FDA/Regulated environment experience
  • Experience partnering and managing relationships with external vendors
