About the role:

The Senior Financial Analyst will develop management reporting for senior leadership consumption, partnering closing with key business partners to accurately plan spend across multiple functions within the R&D Rhythm Management (RM) organization.  This position requires an outgoing candidate who can build strong relationships with business partners in the R&D organization, to optimize financial planning, reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information.
  • Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
  • Prepare financial packages to provide information to key stakeholders on their performance, trends, and potential upcoming items of opportunity/risk.
  • Present to upper management & business partners and provide guidance on variances and trends.
  • Perform financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools and creative problem solving.
  • Develop and utilize sound financial processes, with an eye towards process improvements and efficiencies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus.
  • 4+ years’ experience in finance or accounting including 2 years within FP&A
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of interplay between financial systems.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines, attention to detail.
  • Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation. 
  • Holds self-accountable to a performance metric culture.
  • Team orientated.
