Senior Industrial Engineer - Global Quality Systems

 

About the role: This is a newly created Senior Industrial Engineer – Global Quality Systems role focused on bringing operational excellence, process improvement, and change management into non‑manufacturing, quality‑system functions such as CAPA, field actions, and post‑market investigations. The role is responsible for analyzing and redesigning end‑to‑end business process flows, defining meaningful performance metrics, and ensuring improvements are operationalized and sustained across the global quality organization. A key part of the scope is leading cross‑functional collaboration and driving change in areas that are not traditionally operations‑focused, requiring the individual to influence stakeholders, teach operational excellence concepts, and help teams adopt new ways of working. This is a broad, build‑and‑transform role with no formal industrial engineering peer group, intended to deliver lasting system impact rather than grow a standalone IE

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Driving the network toward global standardization in procedures resulting in reduced audit risk.
  • Leading kaizens with cross functional teams to make global quality process improvements.
  • Project managing large-scale global CAPA solutions in partnership with quality stewards managing key stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor teams on project management and robust system implementation.
  • Coach and mentor teams to develop solutions for process improvement opportunities.
  • Work cross-culturally, motivating teams in the development and adoption of global solutions in difficult scenarios.
  • Support problem solving and resolution to roadblocks to drive change within projects.  
  • Influence best practices and adoption of improvement ideas, activities, and outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and refine global best practices.
  • Guiding the network to create effective and sustainable quality systems management solutions.
  • Driving the build in quality principle to implement proactive quality solutions.

 

Required qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering/Technical Field
  • 5+ years Lean and process improvement related experience within quality 
  • 2+ years project management experience
  • Proven results applying lean & problem solving globally in quality systems
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial/consultant mindset
  • Ability to build enthusiasm for change
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Effective communicator to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to create new relationships quickly

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • PMP Certification
  • Six Sigma Certification

Maximum Salary: $ 161500 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
