About the role:
The Sr. Manager, Content Activation and Advocacy is responsible for building a best-in-class employee and executive advocacy program that strengthens the company’s brand and reputation, cultivates employee engagement and supports commercial objectives.
The person in this role will develop the strategy and infrastructure to activate authentic, credible voices and content that extends the reach and impact of corporate narratives. This role sits on the social media team within Corporate Communications and works in close partnership with editorial teams, marketing, HR and business units to shape the future of social content and distributed storytelling at Boston Scientific.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Own and scale Boston Scientific’s global employee advocacy program, transforming it into a scalable growth engine for corporate reputation, brand visibility, talent attraction and commercial engagement.
- Develop frameworks, campaigns and toolkits to drive employee participation.
- Partner with content strategists to translate enterprise narratives and campaigns into employee- and executive-led content programs.
- Lead initiatives to source and scale employee-generated content (EGC) across the company and create repeatable content pipelines across PESO channels.
- Counsel senior leaders and their communications partners on social media strategies to amplify thought leadership and drive engagement; act as a trusted advisor and, where appropriate, a direct thought partner to executives.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, talent acquisition, marketing, legal and corporate communications teams to align and integrate advocacy and EGC efforts with enterprise campaigns and priorities.
- Define and track success metrics across executive and employee social programs, translating insights into strategic recommendations and continuous optimization.
- Develop a comprehensive training program to educate employee advocates on company policies and social media best practices.
- Leverage AI tools to improve content development, program scalability and workflow efficiency, in alignment with enterprise governance.
- Identify trends and opportunities for continuous testing and learning.
- Prioritize efforts based on enterprise reputation goals and business impact, focusing on scalable programs over one-off execution.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in social media, communications or digital marketing with a successful track record of managing employee advocacy programs and/or executive social media strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
- Executive presence with ability to coach and support VP+ leaders directly.
- Experience using data and insights to inform strategy and optimize performance.
- Excellent written communication skills with editorial judgement and storytelling instincts; experience guiding or shaping content for others.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to prioritize initiatives aligned to enterprise goals
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and navigate large, matrix organizations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems creatively.
- Strong understanding of audience behavior, digital platforms and evolving content optimization practices (SEO, GEO, AEO), with the ability to adapt content strategies for human and AI-mediated discovery.
- Experience navigating diverse stakeholders and aligning on shared priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in MedTech, healthcare or other highly regulated industry.
- Experience using enterprise tools for social media management, social listening and employee advocacy.
