About the role:
The Senior Manager Program Management role is responsible for business analysis, operational planning, process improvement, and the globalization of products as they are launched in different geographies around the world. This specific role is focused on New Product Development within the EP Division and will be focused on a Capital development program. This position will be high visibility and is responsible for ongoing reporting to Senior Management on progress and outstanding risks for the entire program. Specific responsibilities or activities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages implementation of projects: Develops implementation plan outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources; Identifies and leads implementation team including local representatives; Works with functional team members to ensure that all supporting infrastructure including program guidelines, processes, training programs, organizational structure and new roles are developed and communicated.
- Produce business cases, budgets and reports for project direct spend and cross-project resource management.
- Provide advice, assistance and direction to project teams and management, when required to assist with problem recognition, review, and resolution.
- Develops recommendations: Develops and delivers project recommendations to stakeholders related to globalization of products; develops implementation strategy.
- Mentors other employees when appropriate.
- Documents specific country & business system requirements by writing documents, reports, and memos for knowledge sharing of best practices of global product distribution.

- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.

- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within a job function or specialized field of knowledge. An ideal candidate will have experience in NPD within the BSC system and will have knowledge of and/or experience in the BSC R&D and Operations functions.

- Presents convincing arguments for complex ideas and projects at cross-functional meetings in a way that persuades others to agree on recommendation and/or approach, when appropriate
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of project management (or equivalent) experience, including 3+ years of program management experience. Extensive cross-functional leadership experience highly relevant to the role is also considered in lieu of direct PM experience.
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably a BASc, BSc or BComm. Accompanied by a technical background.
- MBA and/or PMP certification is desired.
- Cross-functional experience in the areas of R&D, Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Manufacturing are desired.
- An excellent understanding of Operations and systems (ERP; MRP; BOM; ordering management; transfer to manufacturing; production tools; quality systems) in the medical device industry.
- Understanding of analytical and financial aspects in managing assigned projects.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices is an asset (eg FDA, ISO, QSR design controls).
- Influential leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to collect information from multiple sources and the ability to synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization within a variety of departments and business units.
- Ability to exercise a flexible mindset.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
