About This Role:
We are searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join our team in Arden Hills, MN. This leader will drive improvements and efficiencies across the manufacturing technician and engineering population and work with the technical team to drive improvements to the manufacturing line. They will supervise and provide technical direction to technicians and engineers. The primary focus will be on improving yields and decreasing costs. This individual will devote a significant portion of time contributing to the technical responsibilities of the department, which may include hands on support to maintain those metrics. 

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include: 

  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and lead a diverse team of technicians and engineers within the Urology Division of the Capital Equipment Manufacturing Business Unit
  • Assists manager(s) in providing guidance and training to staff, developing career goals, motivating individuals to achieve results, and maintaining a high-quality staff  
  • Work closely with cross-functional peers and divisional counterparts to drive success of the team and business 
  • Establish and support career development plans for direct reports. 
  • Determine the appropriate staffing and resource plans based on assessed product or manufacturing inputs 
  • Manage daily issues and projects to drive resolution on manufacturing line 
  • Work with manager to establish department goals, objectives, and budgets 
  • Track and manage a budget for equipment maintenance related activities  
  • Prioritize and manage execution of multiple projects that deliver on departmental and/or site goals 
  • Ensure quality system policies and processes are followed 
  • Improve operational performance via data analysis and data collection using multiple sources 
  • Assist in hiring processes and retaining a high performing team 
  • Onsite work mode primarily with hybrid flexibility

  

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Proven understanding of manufacturing problem solving
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite products 
  • Project management skillset / experience 
  • Proven ability to successfully partner with cross-functional team members
  • Experience managing multiple priorities at one time

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical device industry, or other highly regulated field 
  • Hands-on technical/mechanical experience and aptitude 
  • Supervisory experience 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
