About the role:

In this role, you will provide clinical expertise and medical safety support across the lifecycle of innovative cardiology therapies, including electrophysiology and left atrial appendage closure (LAAO) technologies. As a health care professional and patient advocate, you will partner closely with Medical Directors and cross-functional teams to evaluate safety data, assess adverse events, identify emerging risks and support evidence-based decision-making that advances patient safety and product performance.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office Minnesota or Marlborough, Massachussets at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Serve as a clinical expert and patient advocate supporting medical safety activities throughout the product lifecycle.
● Conduct medical review and assessment of adverse events and safety data from multiple sources, including clinical studies, product complaints and regulatory reports.
● Identify, evaluate and communicate potential safety signals, trends and emerging risks to support proactive patient safety monitoring.
● Provide clinical expertise related to product performance, device use and patient safety considerations.
● Analyze and interpret safety data and communicate concise, evidence-based findings to Medical Directors and cross-functional stakeholders.
● Collaborate with Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Post-Market Surveillance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research and Risk Management teams to support safety evaluations and risk assessments.
● Escalate significant patient safety concerns and contribute to investigations, risk management activities and decision-making processes.
● Develop and maintain expertise in assigned therapies, products, disease states and clinical practice areas.
● Apply knowledge of global medical device regulations, safety reporting requirements and industry standards to support compliance and patient safety objectives.
Required qualifications:
● Minimum Bachelor's degree in a health care, nursing, life sciences or related field.
● Active, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
● Minimum of 4 years' experience in direct patient care and 2 years' experience supporting electrophysiology procedures or electrophysiology laboratory environments.
● Demonstrated experience with electrophysiology technologies, including pulsed field ablation (PFA) and/or left atrial appendage closure (LAAO) procedures preferred within clinical practice.
● Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively within a matrixed environment.
Preferred qualifications:
● Minimum of 2 years' experience in Medical Safety, Risk Management, Clinical Research, Clinical Quality or a related function.
● Medical device industry experience preferred
● Proven experience evaluating safety data, adverse events, complaints or post-market surveillance information.
● Knowledge of medical device regulations, safety reporting requirements and risk management principles.
