About the role:

Join the Materials Management team at Boston Scientific in Arden Hills. Boston Scientific is a leading global medical device manufacturer delivering millions of solutions to patients around the world. In this role, you will own planning processes, tools, and systems to lead weekly and monthly execution across your assigned production value streams.

 

Work model & sponsorship:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, maintain, and control the master production schedule
  • Maintain and manage the MRP signal to ensure component availability
  • Facilitate the Supply Response portion of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process, including rough-cut capacity planning
  • Keep good communication and partnership with Global Supply Chain team & Divisional team
  • Communicate and follow up on component and assembly availability issues
  • Foster global partnerships with sister sites in Ireland, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica
  • Participate in strategic projects aimed at improving safety, quality, service, and cost through continuous improvement methodologies
  • Integrate digital analytics, AI-enabled insights, and advanced planning capabilities into planning workflows to understand forecast accuracy, data-driven decision making, and operational efficiency
  • Support production supervisors with the execution of the production schedule
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and graphs for monthly operating reviews and planning meetings
  • Analyze and interpret marketing forecast reports
  • Conduct "what if" analysis related to regulatory uncertainty
  • Communicate production planning updates to key stakeholders including Global Supply Chain, Marketing, Production Control, and Customer Service

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; SAP preferred
  • Familiarity with data analytics, ERP/MRP systems, and advanced planning systems such as SAP, Rapid Response, or similar platforms
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain, materials management, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams across the supply chain
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of leadership

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with SAP and/or Rapid Response
  • Experience applying AI, automation, or advanced analytics to supply chain planning, production planning, inventory management, or decision-support processes
  • Exposure to scenario planning, predictive analytics, or connected data platforms that support end-to-end supply chain visibility
  • APICS certification and/or relevant coursework in demand and supply chain planning
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably within the medical device industry

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
