About the Role :
Are you ready to make a significant impact in one of the fastest-growing areas within BSC? As the Senior R&D Manager on our EP Product Development team, you will lead a talented group of R&D engineers, driving the advancement of cutting-edge products and technologies for the Electrophysiology division. You will provide technical guidance to an interdisciplinary team dedicated to developing innovative electronic medical systems.
This hands-on leadership position involves directing the activities of the systems engineering group, focusing on new product development. You will be part of a high-performance team responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of electronic medical systems and their associated devices within our electrophysiology pulsed field ablation portfolio. This critical role requires leading best-in-class development practices and rigorous, holistic product design in collaboration with internal and external partners.
What You'll Do:

Lead and Inspire: Guide, coach, and develop a high-performing team of R&D engineers. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Drive Innovation: Oversee the development of complex single-use devices, from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and manufacturing transfer.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with senior technical leaders, project management, and interdisciplinary partners to achieve organizational goals.

Ensure Quality and Compliance: Understand and navigate external requirements for product development and approval processes. Champion continuous improvement and best practices.

Solve Complex Problems: Develop creative solutions to high-complexity engineering challenges. Lead technical teams through problem-solving and decision-making processes.

Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate effectively across departments to further organizational objectives and drive success.
What We're Looking For:
-
Educational Background: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 7+ years of work experience in the medical device or related field with a BS, or 5+ years with an MS. Proven experience in leading and developing a medical device technical engineering group.

Technical Expertise: Proficient in design controls and risk management practices. Strong hands-on capabilities as a system architect and integration lead.

Problem-Solving Skills: Highly creative problem solver with a sense of urgency. Ability to develop solutions to diverse engineering problems.

Collaboration and Leadership: Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration, influence without authority, and project/task management skills. Passion for understanding and solving problems for end users.

Communication Skills: Strong personal credibility and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:

Experience in electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, structural heart, or comparable intracardiac technology.

Fluency in the IEC 60601 standards.
