About the role:
In Rhythm Management (RM) we offer solutions for treating irregular heart rhythms and heart failure, and protecting against sudden cardiac arrest.  In addition, we offer solutions with 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths.
The Senior Scientist is responsible for executing activities related to research and development of therapeutic and diagnostic capabilities, including: identification, concept development, evaluation, planning, execution, and technology transfer of new features, technologies, and products that offer innovative medical solutions to improve the health of patients around the world. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the initiation, design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects.


Your responsibilities include:
⦁    Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential technologies, materials, processes and products.
⦁    Plans and executes laboratory, preclinical or clinical research to prove feasibility of concepts.
⦁    Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
⦁    Participates in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications.
⦁    Consults and interacts with outside and inside customers.
⦁    May coordinate interdepartmental activities and R&D efforts.
⦁    Writes and submits professional articles for technical journals.
⦁    Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and R&D


What we’re looking for in you:
Basic Qualifications: 

⦁    Advanced degree required – PhD preferred
⦁    Master's degree in science, mathematics, or engineering plus 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 


Preferred Qualifications:
⦁    Degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, neuroscience or related field
⦁    Strong signal processing, data analytics, algorithm development 
⦁    Machine learning and/or deep learning skills  
⦁    Proficiency in MATLAB
⦁    Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, cardiac diseases, cardiovascular physiology, and medical technology
⦁    Knowledge of statistics 
⦁    Team player with good communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal
