About the role:

 

Boston Scientific is hiring a Senior Specialist, Change Enablement to drive innovation within our Magellan team.

 

Magellan is the largest technology and business transformation program Boston Scientific has undertaken in two decades. This global initiative is transitioning our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA, aiming to simplify, standardize, and modernize our core business processes. By doing so, we are positioning ourselves for future growth and leveraging the power of data across the organization.

 

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Change Enablement within the Organizational Change Enablement (OCE) team, a global group dedicated to building enterprise change capability through a common language (Prosci), best practices, role upskilling, and delivering change strategies for major enterprise programs.

 

In this role, you will lead the change strategy for the Magellan Program, specifically focusing on the advance team’s future deployment. Responsibilities include executing the change plan and managing sponsor onboarding, upskilling people leaders, addressing change impacts, stakeholder management, end-user change journey activities, change network mobilization, and SharePoint administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute deployment change journey activities in collaboration with change network leads, ensuring the delivery of high-quality change events and materials for each phase leading up to deployment.
  • Complete key change activities, such as capturing changes, validating changes, mapping changes to roles, and identifying end-users, in partnership with Change Deputies in the Scrum teams.
  • Develop and share updated personas for end-user groups experiencing the most significant and complex changes in alignment with each release.
  • Design and deliver program communications for the team, broader stakeholder community, and executive leadership, following the next-generation communication approach and leveraging Microsoft O365 tools like SharePoint Sites and the News app.
  • Manage and support the Magellan SharePoint site, including tasks such as stakeholder and end-user list management, creating News posts/sites, and reviewing site analytics.
  • Measure the effectiveness of change and communication efforts using various tools, including focus groups, surveys, and analytics.
  • Address complex issues independently with minimal supervision, escalating only the most challenging problems to appropriate staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, I/O Psychology, or a related field OR 8+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience in change management, communications, or related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in I/O Psychology, Communication, or related field.
  • Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) certification and/or PROSCI Certification
  • 5+ years of work experience with change tools such stakeholder’s analysis, change impact mapping, persona creation, change measures, and the value of their outputs
  • 5+ years of creating enterprise wide and executive level creative communications using multiple vehicles/approaches.
  • Successful track record delivering high quality creative communications to all levels of organization using multiple vehicles
  • Experience working on a global project transformation implementing Change Management and Communications tactics
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in diverse, multicultural, and global environments, with sensitivity and respect for cultural differences.
