Purpose

 

The Global Advocacy team will increase BSC's leadership and influence in global advocacy activities.  We will foster a collaborative environment to bridge advocacy efforts across BSC.

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Create and manage monthly Global Advocacy newsletter.  Feature one success story and identify how it impacted the BSC business and how it can be shared across BSC divisions and regions.
  • Create Global Advocacy website to share materials such as:
    • One Minute Updates
    • Global Advocacy Newsletter
    • Global Advocacy Communications
    • BSC Impact Assessments
    • BSC Guidance Comments
    • Working Group Meeting Notes
  • Chair monthly Advocacy Champions Meeting:
    • Bring together Advocacy Champions across BSC
    • Share working group activity
    • Establish priority areas of focus
    • Review schedule for submitting guidance comments
  • Manage cross divisional efforts to comment on agency guidance documents:
    • Thorough review and summary
    • Lead cross divisional meeting to discuss specific BSC impact
    • Summarize findings in One Minute Update
    • Review comments with BSC Working Group Leaders prior to submission to agency
  • Represent BSC on industry working groups (e.g, AdvaMed, MDIC, IMDRF)
  • Collaborate with BSC Government Affairs office on advocacy efforts
  • Prepare presentations to communicate advocacy trends to variety of audiences
  • Mentor intern/co-op student

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferrably in a scientific or technical discipline
  • 5+ years Global Regulatory Affairs experience, medical device experience preferred
  • Excellent, written and oral communication, technical writing and editing skills
  • Experience with publication and website design
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations
  • Ability to actively engage divisional and regional resources
  • Willingness to travel to divisions, regions, agencies
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven collaboration skills
