The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist applies a thorough and analytical approach to developing and executing sourcing strategies designed to reduce total costs, enhance supplier value contributions, and secure a sustainable competitive edge in key direct sourcing categories. This role collaborates with divisional stakeholders to align and optimize sustainable sourcing strategies for the electronics category and will partner with cross-functional partners in Supplier Quality and Supplier Engineering to execute project deliverables, while ensuring product quality and cost savings.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the strategic sourcing representative for post-acquisition integration activities to assure the unique sourcing, reliability, quality, traceability, and lifecycle requirements of electronic products throughout integration planning and execution
- Assessing supplier, component, manufacturing, and commercial risks associated with acquired products and supply chains; develop mitigation recommendations for integration teams
- Evaluating supplier networks, contracts, sourcing models, and supply continuity risks to support integration decision-making
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop integration roadmaps and long-term supply strategies
- Building and maintaining relationships with critical electronic OEMs, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers to ensure business continuity and strategic alignment
- Leading negotiations for supply agreements, quality agreements, pricing, capacity commitments, business continuity provisions, and other commercial arrangements
- Influencing acquisition and integration stakeholders to proactively address supply chain risks, supplier gaps, and operational challenges
- Identifying opportunities to improve cost, resiliency, scalability, and overall total cost of ownership across acquired businesses
- Supporting the transfer and integration of supplier relationships, contracts, and sourcing processes into Boston Scientific systems and governance models
- Providing leadership and insight regarding electronics supply markets, supplier capabilities, technology trends, and sourcing best practices
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related field
- Minimum 3yrs of direct sourcing experience and supplier relationship management
- Experience with MS Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)
- Experience managing complex supplier relationships and commercial negotiations
- Experience with project management and risk assessment
- Ability to travel up to 20% globally
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or professional certification (i.e. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience sourcing for electronic components for manufacturing operations
- Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or large-scale business integrations
- Experience working with electronics suppliers, and electronic component supply chains
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive and technical stakeholders
