About the role:

Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.  

The Magellan Organizational Change Enablement Team (OCE) is responsible Change Enablement and Communications; Talent Development and Future Operating Models; and ERP Training deployment, delivery and establishing a sustaining function. 

The Sr. Training Specialist will report to the Sr. Training and Development Manager within the OCE team.  As part of the OCE team, this role will be responsible for the planning and execution of the global training strategy for the Magellan team and end users, supporting the network of S4 HANA SME’s/Super-Users across all functions, divisions and regions and managing all training logistics and content in myLearning. 

The culture of the OCE team is to work as a group and be flexible and willing to jump in to the broader OCE team responsibilities.  It is an expectation that all OCE members can represent all OCE activities (at a high-level) when engaging with stakeholders. The Magellan Program website (built and managed by the OCE team) represents our team culture and provides a wealth of information about the program.

 

Your responsibilities will include:
•Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and/or cross-functional teams to identify training needs and content, and drive training assignment decisions and actions for S4 users.
•Partner with Magellan Program SMEs to plan and align on all relevant training driven by S4 implementation but out of OCE’s scope (Controls/Security/Reg etc)
•Partner with functional SMEs to identify and qualify internal instructors, co-ordinate and support all instructor led training sessions, continually evaluate instructor effectiveness and forecasting delivery of programs to meet business needs. 
•Perform weekly reviews of S4 changes and ensure alignment to training needs.
•Manage and monitor training tasks in Jira.
•Co-ordinate and provide input to training logistics and schedules, leads and oversees all training content uploads in myLearning. 
•myLearning Administrator – create items, curricula, manage assignments, prepare reports in myLearning. 
•Partner with functional SMEs to identify testers and co-ordinate all testing activities in myLearning. 
•Document training and manage training records.  May lead, manage or support the development and use of reports to support audits, Management Review, and manager accountability. 
•Measure the effectiveness of learning programs.  May lead, manage, and/or support learning effectiveness feedback into the training life cycle management processes. 
•Primary point of contact to provide training guidance and support to new S4 users.
•May participate on cross-functional teams to provide input and continuously improve training processes. 
•May lead or support negotiations of resources, training schedules, contracts and fees for both internal and externally sourced programs.
•May lead, manage, facilitate or support L&D processes and efforts required to meet Quality System and compliance requirements.  
•Escalate any potential concerns regarding training schedules to OCE Team. 
•Duties as assigned by the OCE team in relation to role mapping, communication and sharepoint management

 

What we're looking for in you:


Required qualifications:
•An experienced professional with a complete understanding and wide application of principle, theories, and concepts in the field.  Applies a full understanding of area of specialization to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.  General knowledge of other related disciplines, business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships
•Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of training development or related professional experience.  
•Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. 
•Excellent change and project management skills along with the demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and utilize data to influence business decisions – knowledge of Agile process and/or Jira preferred.
•Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility 
•High sense of urgency and commitment to execution. 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Expertise and experience in supporting training systems and processes – knowledge of myLearning and BSC training processes preferred.
