About the role:   
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly-motivated and results-driven Software Engineer to join our Cardiac Diagnostics R&D team.   Cardiac Diagnostics is a leading developer of mobile health solutions and remote monitoring services that connect patients threatened by cardiac arrhythmias. Using insights to create revolutionary monitoring technologies, this tech-enabled, service-based approach can ultimately reduce the cost of care and improve health outcomes. Cardiac Diagnostics’ wearable portfolio includes the PatientCare Platform and BodyGuardian ® family.  Join a fast-growing and talented team, as we invest in a best-in-class software solutions using best-in-class software practices.  The successful candidate will help lead our next generation of user interface experiences built upon their expertise in JavaScript, C# and Angular.  

 

Your responsibilities will include:   

  • Participate in the design, development, review, and deployment of highly scalable web applications
  • Collaborate with software developers, system test engineers, user experience engineers, project management, and quality team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner 
  • Participate in SW test automation framework and tools development  
  • Participate in Agile and iterative software development processes to work towards achieving individual and team goals  
  • Create project documentation per quality system requirements  
  • Use software version control, issue tracking, requirements and task management tools in day-to-day work  
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global team members  

 

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.  Advanced degrees can be considered as additional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with C#, .NET, and SQL
  • Experience with Angular 11+ or similar front-end technology
  • Excellent communication skills and strong writing skills to document and communicate designs to a cross-functional audience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Collaborative, flexible mindset

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Passion to stay on top of development trends and tools 
  • Experience implementing REST APIs in C# or Java is an advantage. 
  • Experience with defect tracking and SDLC management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence 
  • Experience developing in a continuous integration environment. 
  • Experience deploying web applications in a cloud hosted environment (Azure or AWS) 
  • Fundamental understanding of security and writing secure code
