Embedded Software Verification Engineer II

 

About the role: 


Join us in developing software systems and firmware for implantable medical devices, where you'll support testing, validation, and innovation. Verify advanced research algorithms and implementation of low-power, embedded firmware systems. Responsibilities: 

 

  • Implement software to verify implantable medical device firmware in a robust manner.
  • Design, develop, debug, modify, and test software programs by using C++, C# or other current programming languages and technologies.
  • Work closely with firmware, systems, hardware, and software engineers to optimize solutions across the entire system through collaboration.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, verifies requirements, software and systems using established firmware engineering methods and technologies.
  • Collaborate effectively within a Lean/Agile team environment.
  • Analyze activities and methodologies with peers and cross-functional groups to continuously enhance quality and work processes.

 

Required minimum qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering field.  
  • 2+ years of related experience or Master’s degree 
  • Solid coding skills with programming languages: C++, C# and/or Python

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with core firmware engineering and full software life cycle skills
  • Experience in Software integration and Black Box test methodologies
  • Experienced working in a regulated environment
  • Experience with industry standards IEC 62304, Cybersecurity 
  • Experience with safety critical systems 
  • Experience working on cross functional teams to develop new products    
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills
