About the Role:

This role will oversee the Returns, Replenishment and Cycle Count Team. It will support the Boston Scientific (BSC) Distribution Strategy, by coordinating schedules and implementing activities for the Distribution function, that include overseeing personnel, directing operations and following-up on transactions, to ensure department standards and the Regulations are observed.  Oversees the returned goods, replenishment, and cycle count teams in the receipt, storage, and transaction of finished goods in accordance with validated procedures.  Ensures that customer orders are processed quickly and accurately to meet BSC standards.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
  • Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
  • Monitors daily work operations and provides direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
  • Interprets and executes policies that affect individuals within the assigned organizational unit or department.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etc).
  • Develops work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload, and available resources.
  • Maintains personnel records (e.g., work schedules, vacation schedules, leaves) and makes or directs modifications in the database to reflect actual changes.
  • May perform individual contributor tasks, especially in staff or professional units.
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Distribution/Materials core team member for acquisition & site transfer integration projects ensuring all aspects of the distribution and material handling process are properly represented & vetted.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-4 years of Distribution or Logistics experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong Leadership and Communication skills
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Lean tools, principles and Root cause analysis/problem solving
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Available to work Monday-Friday with core business hours of 9:30am-5:30pm. There is some flexibility with this shift.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP (or other ERP systems)
  • FDA/Regulated environment experience
  • Experience partnering and managing relationships with external vendors
  • Industrial Engineering / Project Management Background a plus
  • Proven experience working on cross-functional project teams with successful outcomes
  • Project team core team member / Project Lead experience
  • Approximately 40% of time will be spent working on new product integration activities and special projects.
