About the Role:

The Sr Production Supervisor role is a critical role at our Arden Hills site. This role is responsible for producing high quality medical devices for our customers and patients on high model mix production lines. In this role, you will lead a diverse 2nd shift team (DL Core Hours of 1 PM- 9 PM) of about 30 employees, coaching and mentoring them on lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects while meeting Safety/Quality/Service goals. 

This position also has a Manufacturing Team Lead/ Production Coordinator reporting into them and will be a key member of driving our Business Unit strategy.  Therefore, expected working hours for the supervisor are approximately 11 AM- 7 PM,  with the ability to flex hours into the daytime or toward shift end based on business need.  These hours enable the supervisor to collaborate and engage more strategically with core team partners (engineering staff, 1st shift supervisors, management, etc).

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Produce high quality products, safely, on time for the customer at the lowest cost
    • Manufacture products to the highest quality standards and ensure compliance to all Boston Scientific policies and regulations
    • Identify customer requirements to deliver the right products at the right time
    • Lead and support new product development on the production line
  • Lead the cross functional production line/area team in achieving a high engagement & high-performance culture
    • Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining good manufacturing practices at a high level within the department
    • Manage, motivate, develop, and involve product builders through coaching and performance management.
    • Foster teamwork within the production line/area cross-functional team
    • Embed the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors
  • Lead & create engagement around continuous improvement within the production line/area
    • Achieve continuous improvement goals (safety, quality, service, cost, space, etc.) through the utilization of the business essentials & operational excellence techniques
    • Benchmark and share best practices​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
  • Production Line/Area Planning
    • Analyze S&OP (Sales & Operating Plan) requirements and provide production commitments for the production line/area including non-commercial requirements
    • Provide appropriate input into the long-term planning of the production line/area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • A minimum of 2 years of people leadership or team leadership experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean tools and principles
  • Experience working in a Regulated industry, preferred
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects, preferred
