About the role:
There is an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Production Supervisor to join the Preventice Services department in support of transfer, start up, and line sustainment activities. Upon successful transfer and startup of the department in Arden Hills, you will lead, coach and mentor production and support team personnel on lean manufacturing and production best practices to create a culture of engagement and continuous improvement while meeting safety, quality, service, and cost goals. Daily execution and line performance as well as project leadership and change management are vital for this position. This is a 2nd shift position, and the candidate will need to be open to light traveling (<10%) to Houston, TX. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support transfer and new product development readiness activities 
  • Day to day operations producing high quality products, safely, accurately, and on time for our patients 
  • Achieve & exceed product cost goals
  • Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Foster teamwork and enable a culture of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement throughout the entire cross-functional team
  • Manage, motivate, develop, and involve product builders through coaching and performance management 
  • Embed the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors
  • Utilize production area planning tools such as WCG & Direct Labor Staffing, Equipment Capacity, Support Team, and Space Planning to ensure all resources are in place to achieve team commitments
  • Ensure product builder training is effective & efficient and maintain training versatility across entire team
  • Analyze build plan requirements and provide forward looking monthly production commitments
  • Provide appropriate input into the long-term planning of the operations area


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisor/management/leadership experience
  • Solid computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience utilizing Lean tools/systems
  • Able to support and lead a team working 2nd shift hours (core hours of 2 PM - 10 PM)

  • Highly motivated and willing to challenge status que
  • Medical device industry experience
  • Ability to be flexible, agile, and adaptable 
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work under general direction
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
