Sr. Process Improvement Specialist   

 

Location: Boston Scientific Maple Grove, MN, Arden Hills, MN or Marlborough, MA locations, All Costa Rica locations, All Ireland locations 

 

Function: Global Enterprise Excellence, Global Operations 

 

About the role: 

As a member of the Global Value Improvement team, the Sr. Business Process Improvement Specialist will partner with organizational team members and stakeholders to deliver a high performing engaged value improvement culture that fuels operating income. This role may work across all divisions, functions, and regions to streamline business processes and improve customer and employee experience through process improvement efforts and the adoption of technology. The individual will be involved in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and initiatives through process transformations and utilizing process improvement methodologies to develop innovative solutions that foster a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Contribute to the successful execution of enterprise-wide improvement initiatives by supporting planning, coordination, and implementation efforts; track progress and prepare updates for project leads and key stakeholders. 

  • Partner with business stakeholders and senior team members to execute improvement activities, including conducting data analysis, facilitating voice of customer input, supporting process mapping, and helping manage change efforts. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to implement continuous improvement strategies, applying established methodologies and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness within assigned areas. 

  • Identify and assess improvement opportunities through stakeholder engagement and data insights; take ownership of smaller-scale initiatives or components of larger projects. 

  • Facilitate or co-facilitate workshops and working sessions to generate solutions. 

  • Support the promotion of process improvement practices; contribute to identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, including the use of automation where applicable. 

  • Assist in maintaining and evolving documentation, toolkits, and knowledge resources to support consistency and knowledge sharing across improvement efforts. 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field 

  • 3–5 years of experience contributing to business process improvement initiatives using Lean, DMAIC or similar methodologies 

  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects, including involvement in change management and workshop facilitation 

  • Ability to support change initiatives and build alignment across teams 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across cultures and engage stakeholders at various levels 

  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including internationally

Maximum Salary: $156900 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
