Sr. Quality Specialist – Quality Data Governance Lead
About the role:
Join us in driving a transformative approach to data governance and quality! This new role on the Global Quality team will be pivotal in sustaining critical new data requirements. Your work will empower the organization with trusted, accurate data that will improve quality, enable higher level digital capabilities, and provide the agility to leverage our data as a valuable asset. You will partner closely with data owners and SMEs to coordinate the integration of data into our enterprise data platforms, establish data quality requirements and metrics, and drive resolution of data issues. As the “curator” of our quality data catalog, you’ll manage multiple requests, prioritize implementations, facilitate utilization of data, and maintain a clear roadmap that aligns with strategic quality initiatives. This role will have visibility across the quality organization and involvement with many of BSC’s data systems as you shape data governance strategies for major quality system projects. Your contributions will help unlock advanced analytics, automation, and digital innovation across the quality ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as SME for quality use of enterprise data management systems, including Informatica Data Catalog, Master Data Management and Cloud Data Quality tools
- Coordinate with data owners and SMEs to establish data in the Catalog and facilitate execution of data governance requirements
- Facilitate consumption of data and manage data in the catalog to ensure requirements are met and sustained (act as “Librarian” of data)
- Coordinate with data owners and SMEs to define and implement data quality monitoring rules, metrics and dashboards
- Coordinate resolution of data issues in partnership with data owners
- Participate in planning of quality data projects to develop data governance strategies
- Project management and roadmap execution of data related initiatives
- Lead and/or participate on NCEP/CAPA teams
- Other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for in you:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of professional experience
- Experience working with data and/or data management processes
- Project management experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of the BSC quality system and ability to interpret and apply quality system requirements
- Strong understanding of data governance and master data management principles
- Experience using data management tools such as Informatica or similar
- Experience using data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Familiarity with BSC data systems including SAP, PDD, UDI, MDM, Snowflake, or similar
- Prior experience working in data governance, quality systems, or compliance roles
- Proven ability to influence without authority
- Experience leading NCEPs and CAPAs
