About this role:
The primary focus of this position is to use progressive dies in punch presses of various sizes to produce metal stamped components for the medical industry. The operator must be able to work from blueprints and manufacturing instructions to perform production tasks which includes the stamping and inspection of sheet metal medical device components.


Your basic responsibilities will include:
⦁    Setup and operate punch press machines using progressive dies
⦁    Inspect stamped components using hand tools, automated equipment, and microscopes
⦁    Measure and visually inspect products for cosmetic and dimensional defects
⦁    Read work instructions, and blueprints
⦁    Work with the quality and engineering groups
Desired skills and qualifications:
⦁    Experience in setting up and operating punch presses using progressive dies
⦁    Good communication skills
⦁    Basic Computer skills
⦁    Skilled in operating a Micrometer and Caliper
⦁    Basic hand tools required to set up and remove tools
⦁    Forklift experience
⦁    Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and poses the skills to inspect parts per process on the production floor

 

Required qualifications:
⦁    4 years high school diploma/degree/equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
⦁    Certification in assigned area preferred
