About the role:
The Supplier Engineer Manager leads the supplier engineering staff in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to achieve Global Sourcing objectives including new product support, supplier performance, supplied material risk mitigation and executing materials cost improvement projects. This role is responsible for developing partnerships with internal customers and external suppliers to sustain and improve existing and new product components. The incumbent is expected to lead and influence cross-functional resources, while utilizing project management and problem-solving skills to manage multiple issues and meet project objectives.

Your Responsibilities will Include:
- Leading the supplier engineering team in supporting Capital Equipment Electronics Categories, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Building strategic partnerships with manufacturing plants, R&D, and Global Sourcing teams to further departmental and organizational objectives
- Driving cost reduction strategies with suppliers and categories
- Planning and implementing insourcing/outsourcing strategies to align with the company’s operational strategy
- Investigating and evaluating new and existing technologies to use in future products and improve the quality and reliability of current products
- Partnering with suppliers and category team members to support investigation of supplied material issues or supply constraints
- Fostering a diverse work environment by recruiting, coaching, and developing talent
- Developing and monitoring the annual budget for department(s), while making adjustments as appropriate
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any engineering or science-based discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within the medical device or electronics industry
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with ability to influence and drive performance
- Experience managing ambiguous situations with strong change management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% globally
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with electronics manufacturing or design
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements, including component qualification, on-going inspection, and change control processes
- Results-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships on all levels

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
