Will be based out of AH starting in 2021.  Temporarily will split time between AH and Minnetonka facilities.

 

About the role:

Under minimal direction and supervision, conducts medical device testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and fabrication of prototypes and fixtures of moderate to high complexity.  Participates as a team member generating and maintaining complete documentation necessary for assigned project tasks

 

Your responsibilities includes:

  • Primarily working with Sustaining Engineering aiding engineers working on current laser systems and capital equipment.
  • Assist in the process of moving of Equipment from other BSC sites to set up and maintain the UroPH division’s R&D lab in Arden Hills.
  • Assist in performing mechanical and electrical testing for current and new products.
  • Assures that existing processes are carried out to very specific criteria, methods, and specifications.
  • Performs basic product testing and records results according to established processes
  • Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and tests equipment, systems or products
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas.
  • Works under limited supervision assisting R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

 

What we’re looking for:

Qualifications

  • 2 year degree in a Technical field or military electronics background preferred. 
  • Previous experience 1-3 years preferred.
  • Computer use experience (Office 365)
  • Mechanical or Electrical ability / experience
  • Previous experience with Laser equipment a nice to have
  • Previous experience with LabView a nice to have
  • General Understanding of working in a regulated environment or previous Med Device experience
  • Experience with Electrical or Electro mechanical systems involving troubleshooting or assembly
  • Knowledge of and experience using Oscilloscopes, DMMS and working knowledge of electrical systems.
