About your role:
As a User Experience Designer I you will be responsible for contributing to the user interface design process while working on various development and marketing projects. As a member of the User Experience team, you will also work closely with all others involved in the software development process to ensure delivery of high quality, usable software.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work collaboratively with R&D and Marketing teams to provide the best end user design solution
- Design usable interfaces that organize and make sense of large volumes of complex data
- Architect and design user interfaces and interactions for custom web and mobile applications
- Gather user research, both internal and external, using a systematic research methodology
- Apply user research findings to the design of our user portals
- Architect a solution which meets requirements and accommodates the various user experience scenarios
- Architect, design, and construct web pages for our corporate site and client projects
- Architect, design, and localize BSC-Preventice/Client applications (mobile and web)
- Support the design of print and digital marketing collateral (fliers, ads, case study sheets, pamphlets, etc.)
- Design vector imagery for end-user documentation
- Other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for in you:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- 0-1 years of applicable experience in design and creative production
- Previous experience as an employee or intern with Boston Scientific
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and other industry standard design software
- Web and/or mobile interface architecture and design experience
- Knowledge of interface and UX design for web applications
- Knowledge of standards-based XHTML, standards-based HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Experience with a JavaScript framework such as jQuery or Dojo
- Knowledge of printing process and packaging files for press
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Engineering Design Innovation
- Proven ability to create clean, efficient, accessible design aesthetically for web and mobile software applications
- Ability to collaborate with other designers, strong work ethic and team player
- Radical attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and commitment
- Strong organization, time management skills, and ability to work independently and use initiative to get things done
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a complex, dynamic high-pressure environment
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven experience in analyzing best practices and solving complex issues
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to wear multiple hats, as necessary
